Delicious, natural and simple to make taking just 5 minutes. A healthy dessert for kids (as well as us adults!)
Makes 4 scoops
Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas
½ vanilla pod (or you can use 1 tsp vanilla essence/paste)
20ml oat milk or coconut milk
Method:
- Peel, and chop the bananas into chunks. Freeze for at least 2-3 hours until frozen solid (however, don’t leave overnight as they will be too hard to blend in the processor).
- Put the bananas into a food processor/nutria bullet and blend. Scrape down the sides and blend again until smooth after adding the vanilla and milk.
- Scoop into bowls and enjoy! Top with some grated dark chocolate if you wish.
* It is important that the bananas are ripe, otherwise the ice cream won’t have a good flavour
** Store the remainder in an airtight container and freeze.
*** If you want a firmer ice cream texture freeze for an additional 30 minutes after making.
