Grilled fresh figs

Fresh figs are delicious just eaten as they are, but can be quickly made into a delicious yet simple dessert. Grilling the figs helps to draw out their sweetness. 

Serves 2

Ingredients: 

3 ripe figs

1 tbsp organic runny honey

A small handful of fresh black or redcurrants 

2 tbsp Greek yoghurt (or a yoghurt of your choice)

 

Method

  • Preheat the grill and half the figs and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with a little runny honey.
  • Place under the grill for a few minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve on a plate with a spoonful of Greek yoghurt. 

 * Sprinkle over some chopped nuts such as hazelnuts or pistachios for some extra crunch

 **Works well with any stoned fresh fruit such as peaches and apricots
