Delicious, natural and simple to make taking just 5 minutes. A healthy dessert for kids (as well as us adults!)
Makes 4 scoops
4 ripe bananas
½ vanilla pod (or you can use 1 tsp vanilla essence/paste)
20ml oat milk or coconut milk
Peel, and chop the bananas into chunks. Freeze for at least 2-3 hours until frozen solid (however, don’t leave overnight as they will be too hard to blend in the processor).
Put the bananas into a food processor/nutribullet and blend. Scrape down the sides and blend again until smooth after adding the vanilla and milk.
Scoop into bowls and enjoy! Top with some grated dark chocolate if you wish.
* It is important that the bananas are ripe, otherwise the ice cream won’t have a good flavour
** Store the remainder in an airtight container and freeze.
*** If you want a firmer ice cream texture freeze for an additional 30 minutes after making.
