Copy of SMALL STEPS MAKE BIG WINS

Good health is about having the energy to enjoy every day. It’s about waking up and feeling fresh and looking forward to the day ahead.

We have the tendency to overpromise and underdeliver when it comes to our personal goals. If you know me, you’ll know that I have a no-nonsense approach to health and that I’ve helped many clients to eat and live well. I know that it’s about keeping things simple and uncomplicated which makes a really BIG difference to your success.

The best part about making small changes is that they add up over time to create significant and noticeable progress.

So, here I share lessons that I’ve learnt myself, as well as helping my clients, make positive changes happen.

It’s good to:

  • Focus on actions that create great health

  • Focus on the small things - as you get positive achievement really quickly

  • Use targeted ways to help you make change happen

  • Build on success - Small changes = BIG WINS

  • Switch your mindset and adjust behaviour patterns

  • Most people know what to do, but often the issue is it’s not that easy to stick to your plans without support and guidance

  • Will power alone often isn’t enough to keep you on track

  • Ditch the overwhelm, and create more energy for you.

  • Most people need the help and support from a coach, together with a system that can help

  • Get support from others - research studies have shown that people are more likely to stick to a plan when they have support. We are all guilty of occasionally putting our own goals on the back burner, but it’s a lot harder to let a friend, mentor or coach down.

And, one of the most important is ………

Accountability creates consistency.

Being accountable provides focus and motivation, keys to getting results.

Focus on the small improvement. Changing small produces the biggest results over time. Keep it simple e.g. Going for a daily walk can lead to quite substantial improvements in fitness with a little effort each time over a period of time.

“Getting 1% better every day counts for a lot in the long run. The difference a tiny improvement can make over time is astounding. Here’s how the maths works out: if you get 1% better each day for one year, you’ll end up 37 times better by the time you’re done. Success is the product of daily habits - not once-in-a-lifetime transformations”.

James Clear is an expert on habits and decision making and makes a compelling argument that in the case of habits, thinking small produces the biggest results over time.

What matters to you now?

Are you too overwhelmed to know where to start? But, want you do know is that you wished you had more energy and felt a bit better.

Will power alone often isn’t enough to keep you on track. However, we all know that maintaining accountability and finding support is easier said than done. Support groups are a fantastic way to create accountability, and the reason they work so well is that they surround you with people who have similar goals and desires. Humans work well in teams which is why the '30 Day Feel Great Challenge' will ensure you have the right help to get great results.

The ‘30 Day Feel Great Challenge’ has evolved because I am passionate about sharing lessons that I’ve learnt myself as well as helping my clients to help them make positive changes happen. This programme follows my ethos of ‘small steps approach’ to changing habits and nourished with sound nutrition and lifestyle habits so that you have the basic building blocks to have the energy to make the most out of life.
